View Full Version : DOT Numbers on trucks and trailers ???

I'm new to the full out business aspect of the game and i got my dump truck on the road last yr and i'm going to be doing some travailing out side of my town and i'm not sure how to get the DOT #'s for the trucks and trailers... does anyone know how i go about doing that and how much it costs ???

They used to be free. Google USDOT and there should be a link.
If you cant find anything I can make a phone call and ask a bud.
BTW , I work out of Westford, grew up in Chelmsford.

The number is free......BUT.....inspections and some other fees they stick on you later aren't. I tried to go that route and all I saw was government red tape and bearucracy. Dot # is another way to get money period. Not saying you shouldn't get them but just know they aren't really "free" in the end.:cry:

This should give you a hand, Registering your dot # is free, easy and only takes a few minutes. When your done its going to give you your numbers and tell you the size requirements and such, take that to your local vinyl place and they will print it up and slap it on your truck.
