My anger over the stimulus is slowly dissipating so hopefully the next trillion dollar request won't infuriate me as much. We'll find out next week I'm guessing.

I'm finding links for a web page I'm assembling and found a interesting course for somebody to look in to. If you want further education now would be a great time to be getting it. Eddie?

Water Conflict Management = fancy way to say pi$$ing match:laugh:

This begs the question - "will you be using conflict-free water?"

Just looking for some humor in the face of what our politicians have done to us this time...

Don't let it dissipate ! That's how we got in this mess in the first place people being complacent with the attitude "I have no control over the situation". That used to be my attitude but not any more. I am talking to everyone I can because I believe a very small % of the country are really informed and it is vital for our country's survival that this nonsense stop sooner rather than later.

Sorry for hijacking the thread I'm sure the class is great but I believe your first statement had more weight.

Pete, this is a graduate level program, not to mention extremely expensive.

i tried to post a signature ad that shows the national debt being tabulated but I couldn't get the clock to work in my signature. Maybe you can explain what I'm doing wrong.

I wonder if I could get it. Online course and I have a degree. It would be for fun (oops that's a bad word here)

If you got $8K to burn don't see why not.

I bet I can find funding in the stimulus bill. By my calculations it will be .00000001% of the bill. So statistically insignificant they won't even notice it.

Can you download a mortar board when you graduate?

One could always try to add an updating debt-clock image to their signature, and make it extra-boring (not to mention raising the question of why it wasn't an issue three months ago)

It was always an issue with me. One reason I voted Libertarian and said Bush was among the worst Prez's ever based on his domestic handling. How long before it become your man's economy? seems like when he signs that stimulus bill he let the leftists in his party put together it becomes his economy don't you agree?

Not picking sides here, but I would say it becomes his attempt to fix the economy .... how it pans out over time is what will make it "his" economy. Surely you understand that economics is a little more complex than you are letting on?

Of course I do. We are still in the thralls of economic decisions made by FDR. Economics is more about politics than sound science. All economic decisions are based on the next election cycle. If the public attitude can be changed (and I doubt it will) which rewards sound money and economic policy with votes they will change. We screamed when the debt was 6% of GDP, now it will be 13% of GDP and the public is brain dead about it. Why? Because the Govt. reflects how most Americans live their lives. In a perpetual state of debt. My greatest frustration is all the time I spend lecturing my daughter and Henry on the evils of debt only to have my own country and government undermine me. I'm convinced a substantial portion of our society has been living on real estate cash outs. Constantly refinancing. Now those people are being bailed out instead of what they deserve. A CRASH AND BURN.
