Currently I am using a product called "Preen" to treat for poa trivialis. I have been told that "momentum" is as effective (if not) better. Please advise.

What are you removing Poa Triv from? Type of grass? There is a product called Certainty made by Monsanto label for Poa Triv. It damages Perennial Rye & others, so may not be suited to use on your type turf. I know it is safe on Kentucky Bluegrass. Momentum would have no effect on Poa Triv........

preen is a preventitive. It will not kill any thing that is exposed.
Yo
Revolver and Tranxit are warm season Herbicide that are labelled to control Poa post emerge in Bermuda and Zoysia Turf. But I am not sure that will help you since you are not in warm season country and didn't list the desirable turf you are trying to work with.
