As many of you know, my wimpy little half ton gave up the ghost and I've been looking for a replacement. My K1500 just couldn't manage the weight that I carry, so I thought I should find a Dually in order to handle the load that my spraying equipment and mowing trailer apply.

I waited and watched, searching for the right deal. I really wanted a Chevy 2500HD, but am scared that Detroit is gonna dry up... and then I'd be up the creek without a paddle. So I decided to go with a Japanese truck - they seem to know what they're doing... Only none of them make a heavy duty truck...

At least that's what I thought until I found this little gem. Check her out, boyz!!!

With this bad boy, not only will I make it to half a million miles, but I'll be the shweetest rig in town!

You guys laugh, but one of my cousin's install trucks is a one ton toyota dually with a 10' box on it (ex U-haul). They were used in 80s and early 90s for campers and smaller U-hauls. His has a V-6 and is at 230,000+ miles. It gets better mileage than the E350s and Savannah 3500s too.

All joking aside, though they're gutless, I'd love to have one of those old blue one ton Toyota trucks for spraying! I absolutely HATE how the American truck manufacturers have jacked their damned rigs so high that working out of the truck bed is next to impossible without an escalator. (And I just bought a Super Duty... ).

Those old Toyota beds were like 2.5' off the ground, tops. That'd be awful convenient to work out of...
