Nice stuff. You are out of paper towels. How does that Scag work? I've seen some custom jobs like that, but always on a hydro. How do the belts do in the wet snow? What do you pull all this with? Did you make a trailer out of the shed?

Nice stuff, you think you have enough chain saws though?

Chain Saws were from a massive storm that ripped through the area a few years back. I had a cousin that worked for a stihl dealer, so a midnight run and a big credit card bill later and we were making money. Rented a chipper and a dump, and cleaned house. The Redmax saws were an after thought. I wanted to try them. Stihl saws are better. I love tree work as well. It breaks up the lawnmowing. I bought two MS250's. They are cheap. I let the helper use them, because they typically destroy the good ones.

I am a solo op. I worked for the utility company before going full time. All equipment is paid in full. I have about 65 accounts. I went full time last year. I have been a registered and insured business for 5 years. I had about 40 clients when working at the utility company. Most equipment is about three years old. I take real pride in keeping the stuff nice. I have been cutting for almost 18 years now. Like I said, I have been at this a little while.

nice set up. what do you pull that stuff with?

I have an enclosed trailer where the equipment sits all season long. The spare stuff gose in the trailer at the end of the season, and the regular stuff sits in the shed. It makes it easier to work on it at my house, instead of going back and forth a million times. The truck in question is a Ford 350. You can see it in the "I washed the truck today" thread.

Good eyes. I said that when I took the pics. You win the price, an empty roll of paper towels. The belts work great. Remember, the plow clears the snow before the belts get to it. I have not had a problem.

What to you want pics of.

Snowplow??? You mean blower right? They are brand new this season. One has never even seen snow. I got a great deal on the pair. I always like have a backup on snow equipment. They always break when you need them. The saws have seen some hard work. They are almost three years old. They sit most of the time. I make it a priority to clean and oil them after each use. I want them to be ready when I need them. Washed with simply green, and oiled with WD40 to keep the rust and crude down. I love WD40. It keeps everything looking like the day I bought it.

Jared looks great! I love the redmax stuff haha and the walker looks new! Gotta get yourself a 32" or 36" stander to replace that belt scag though haha! Just think, all hydro mowers, and matching colors! :D

I like clean stuff, but my buddy Mike is insane. He uses tire shine. Come back and see the equipment in three months. This is what I do in the winter. Everything is completely rebuilt. I have lots of time, and it sure is cheaper then buying new. It is also a great way to learn the ins and outs of equipment. I can tear a string trimmer down with my eyes closed.:laugh: I was thinking of a 42" stander. I have been getting away from most of the smaller yards. I hate the gates. But with the economy, I may just keep the 32" and deal with the gates. I would like to get a 42" stander to save some wear and tear on the walker. I could buy 2 and a half standers for the price of one walker.

Yeah, they look pretty now, but come the season start, well you know. But it gives me something next winter. I try to clean at least once a month, but sometimes I get to busy to do it. I wish there was a way to keep it clean besides not working.

I will get more pics as I get other things fixed and season ready. I am going to get the spray tanks going next. I love those thing....NOT. PITA, but they make me a lot of money. I will also get pics of the trailer when it is back in the season setup. Right now it is storage of the spare crap that usually fills the shed. It is just easier to work on the stuff at my house and I dont want to drive the trailer back and forth every day. Got to love the home shop setup. Get cold working on something, go inside and grab some hot coffee.
