Do any of you guys know of a good mr16 fixture that would have an arm extending out to light this sign from above? Needs to be stainless or a grey color to match sign. The sign is lit form the bottom with hp mr16 LEDs that actually look really good. We want something at the top too.

Appears to be some cheap fixtures there...I believe all manus make a arm for lights. I know Unique does. Im sure the others do as well...

Ya the owner didnt want to spend a ton of money on the fixtures in the ground. When its not winter there are a bunch of planting hiding these lights. Just kichler 15381s with retro HP warm white led mr16 and 15384s on the building. But he is willing to spend more money on fixtures that will actually be seen and add some character to the sign. We want more along the line of something like a one peice curved arm fixture. Ive seen some before just wondering if anyone knows of the "perfect" fixture to make this sign pop.

Sign Stars would be a out of the box solution, or if your in a hurry or on a budget any PRO should be able to bend you something up right off the truck since your looking for a stainless finish.

I would go with the BK SignStars as well. You can get them powder coated in a Grey, or just go with stock white. They are a great fixture for this application.

I'd look at Hevilite instead of BK honestlly and IU'd so it in Anodized Aluminum to match the frame. Hevilite has alwasy given me great service.

While you are comparing fixture offerings, you might as well check out Vision3...

I was remiss to only recommend BK to you. Vision3 products are in many ways superior to the BK line, as the guys who did most of the development of the BK line left, opened Vision3 and improved on areas of weakness in the original fixture set.

Check them out here: http://www.vision3lighting.com/prod3.asp?cid=41&pid=63

Just a quick note on this application.

Down lighting a sign with a quality fixture with good shielding, like BK's SignStar and a good number of other manu, is excellent DarkSky friendly practice.

I am struggling to find application photos but we do this a lot. Using Probe-OSM on risers mounted to sphere bases or if your running the wire in conduit you can mount to a bell box......

here are some pics to illustrate what i am taking about...sorry for the delay in responding, I missed this thread...

Imagine these facing down, you can get 3", 6", 12" + risers

Heres an application using the stellar...You will want more lighthan this can produce more than likely.

Here the top of our building is lit with Probe-OSM's on Risers......We used them to do our own sign....we have also done this with Big Bangs!
