Found this looking on Rockhound website,thought others on here might want a look.Goes along with the new attachment threads:)
Also will add the link for it also and you can check out there brushmower.It has a place on the side of the mower where the thumb can clamp down on the mower body to move bigger limbs,etc.:usflag:

VAB, good on bigger machines, not so good on a mini, you already have a swing boom!

Not sure what you mean -- VAB doesn't do left/right (i.e. offset). This is the same sort of boom used on European (predominantly) wheeled-excavators.

Off set is the one with the knuckle to allow the boom to side shift up top, VAB is the one pictured, swing boom is what every mini excavator has that swings the boom like a backhoe by the cab.

What the advantages of that set up be, compared to a standard boom? More reach I am assuming, but wouldnt that send more wieght out on the end and bring the ass end of the machine off the ground?

Just saw a thread on HEF about these VAB's now being an option from Kubota. Very interesting, I don't see the advantage on a mini.

The only advantages I see on a mini is for a truck loading or lifting operation to get more stick height without moving the stick outward.And a brushcutting machine for working closer to the machine.
