Need some quick opinions!

Did a quick search, but would like some quick opinions.

Tomorrow I'm going to look at a 2 year old Snapper Pro 52" Hydro w/16hp vangaurd B&S.
New, never cut a blade of grass. Parked in garage.

Asking price is $2850.

Any thoughts? I know the engine is a bit small for a 52" deck.
This is about the cost of a 48" gear drive wb, but getting a hydro.
Need some input before tomorrow evening. Thanks.

Why is it still brand new? Thats very odd.

Other than that, sounds good. I've seen a 16 Vanguard on a toro wb thats been going strong for the past 4 yrs or so. Nothing wrong with that. Hydro will be nice.

Guardian, yeah it does sound strange. He said he bought them last year from a guy who had bought them at show.
Why neither of these guys used them is beyond me. I'll see in person if they truley are un-used.

p.s. By the way, he has 2 of these. I thought about trying to get a better deal if I took both and then reselling one at a higher price to recoup some of my money. (Maybe $5400 for both, then sell one for $3200?). Just a thought.

Not bad. The 16HP is not bad power for a 52".

If it were me I would take to an authorized Snapper dealer in the area and ask them(pay them) to look it over. Sounds too good to be true.

How tall/heavy are you? Sounds like a engine a bit too small for a big guy- could be wrong on this however.
