I'm being quoted just over $800 per year for $1m in liability and $15k to cover equipment not including the truck. Does this seem high?

$800.00 per year seems high to me. I get 2 mil. of coverage per year for less than half your price.

Is that just general liability or does it cover your equipment too?

Just recieved a quote today. 160.00 for 1 Million liability. Per year.
And 100.00 for coverage on a 9000.00 mower and a 800.00 trailer, full coverage.
Both quotes from Farm Bureau, although I think they are getting it from someone else.

Your guess is as good as mine. They never asked me any questions like that.

Insurance prices vary state by state.
Louisiana has some of the worst, because the hurricanes drive away the insurance companies.
