View Full Version : Modify and enclosed trailer

I found an enclosed trailer on craigslist, its a 2003 haulmark 5x10. The guy is only asking 1250 but he was asking 2000 at the beginning of this week so I think I could get it for 1000 if I play my cards right.
The only problem is that it has doors instead of a ramp. Has anyone ever removed the doors and put a ramp in, or even installed a ramp inside the doors?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks!

have never done it but I would think the ramp inside the doors to be the better option.

I would think having to open doors and pull out ramps from inside would get old. Just consider what you will be doing with it and think about how much stuff you will carry around and then where you are going to store those ramps. If you need a ramp then just keep watching for someone to sell one cause they are out there right now at good deals. Just my 2cents

I've seen a guy who had barn doors on his enclosed trailer and he just took them off altogether and built a metal gate/ramp just like you would have on a regular open trailer. Not what I would do but I guess it serves its purpose for him.

Getting around 1800 and 2000 dollars you probably can find good deals on a little larger trailer with dual axles and a heavy duty ramp. Just depends on what you want to do with it but a little extra room on a trailer helps in the future.
