I just bought a 36" super surfer and I noticed when I am using it I cannot always get very good traction. When I am trying to make a zero degree turn the wheels will just spin and I do not go anywhere. I also noticed when I try zero degree turns it will tear up the grass by leaving holes or rutts. I was wondering if anyone else has these problems or if there is a way for this not to occur. Thanks for your help.

I tried one of these at the EXPO.

I found you need to lean to the inside wheel to turn better.

Are you doing a real "zero" turn? I mean are you going to the end of a stripe and turning all the way around? If so most any mowers will tear turf. Do a "K" turn, and the turf will not tear and it should turn fine.
