This topic may have been all ready beat to death. I have a few troubleshooting questions pertaining to the drive function of my 2005 asv rc-60.

A short delay exists between transitioning between different inputs. Going forward and then reverse for example. I pulled the joystick and everything seems fine there. This delay is intensified during cold weather. Plowing snow at 0 to -20F, when the control is release the machine very slowly comes to a stop. I keep this machine in a heat garage at 55F so I do not believe that the hydraulic fluid is cooling off fast enough to have an effect especially with the reservior tank located in the engine compartment.

I am inclined to look at the charge pressure or the pilot control manifold. I understand about checking the charge pressure but what exactly does this do? How is this corrected if it is low?

The pilot control manifold, I assume replacing the seals would be the corrective action as ASV lists a valve seal kit as a service item.

Thanks for any advice or input :)

I have the same issue on an sr 70. Tech support says its because the hydro lines are twice as long as in the rc series, worse in cold weather. I had an rc 60 before this machine and didn't have this problem.

I am inclined to believe it is something more than hose length. So, are they saying that your are victim to loss of pressure due to the increased fluid friction of the additional hose length?
In my case, I don't think it is the control stick because in the cold with the slower reaction I believe I would have felt additional slop in the stick itself if the plungers were slow to extend back out to the control plate of the joystick.
I am going to check the charge pressure, whatever that does? and the look into the pilot manifold.

Later this upcoming week, I will give a call to ASV. I have a contact (engineer) who works there.
