What rate are you using? I have backed off my rate but am still using round-up. We had two nights in the 20's this week. If I pull up to a lawn that has already been scalped I skip it. I dont want to put roundup on the new green shoots. Now if there is 3 inches of thatch or dead grass on top then yal I spray it. Check out the oklahoma mesonet the ground temps at 2 inches are higher than they were at this time last year. Last year I sprayed roundup up until the 15th of March. Not this year, gunna have to pull it out of the mix earlier.

16 oz per acre of 41% glyphosate is the label rate for applications on dormant bermuda, and that is really all the chemical that you need to get good results on winter grasses. Spraying more roundup than necessary, especially as the bermuda is coming out of dormancy, isn't beneficial.

In North MS, I recently used roundup on a few new accounts for poa and other winter grasses, but the time has pretty much passed to keep doing this.

I agree with 1 pint per acre. I spoke to another lco last week and he was spraying 2 quarts and acre. I asked why? He said because Lesco told me to. And 2 quarts of 3-way and 2 quarts of surfractant per acre. Poor guys get'n raped by Lesco.

How much water are you spraying per 1000 square foot? Regardless of chemical!

Its not how much per 100 gallons. Its how much per 1000 square foot. Or how much per acre. The water you use to cover a certain area weather it is 1000 square foot or an acre 43560 square foot. Then that will tell you how much roundup or 3-way your using. Per 100 gallons means nothing. How much water do you use to cover an acre? Or 1000 square foot. You spray about 2 gallons a minute. How much area do you cover in a minute?

I just looked at the 7 day forecast and I am not going to add it to my tank any more. It freezes all the way to Easter, but it sure is getting warm. I will continue to spot spray with it. It sure makes it easier to add it to the big tank. It cuts my application time in half. If it gets cold again I will start it back up. This has been one strange year so far- 4 tornado's within 5 miles of me and kid's wearing shorts outside in the middle of Feb.
