Ive gotten some new equipment and thought Id show you my setup. I was cleaning out the trailer and getting it ready for the new year and took some photos. Im just a one man show working part-time. Lawm maintenance is a stress reliever for me. Let me know if you have any suggestions on any ideas for a better set-up on the enclosed trailer. Any questions, ask.

The trailer is a 6x12. I do have locks and it does get locked. Everything fits but it is a little tight. I really do like the 36". I think that is the best mower for someone just starting out. It has a proslide on it for those larger back yards. I keep a water cooler in my truck. There is a Sthil pole saw. I would rather spend more on it than risk climbing a ladder. Anything else?

nice set up in the trailer. I was looking for some ideas in setting up my new 24 ft enclosed. That gives me some more ideas. Nice equipment also all the way around.

Its a beast. Im not sure what the model is but its the larger of the two saws. Bought it a couple of years ago for 42% off. The dealers warehouse had some smoke damage and had to sell everything cheap. Thats also where the backpack blower and echo trimmer came from.

The dealer let his big customers go first, then small timers. Most stuff had been taken. I should have bought more though. I do regret it now. The BP blower set in my shop for a year until my shindaiwa finally stopped. All commercial trimmers were already gone so thats why I bought the srm 210.
I like my set-up. It works great for a one man show. I have everything I need to do the job. Its taken me years to build up my equipment list and get to the type of equip I have now. Im very proud of it. Ive now cut down to 15 customers and thats about as big as I want at present. I mow 1 day a week to get away from my full-time job.

It looks like you took the Trimmer Trap off an open trailer. I was curious as I was thinking about doing the same. I wasn't sure what the best way to go about converting it.

the tiller needs a rack ,,,,, and thos radio head phones should stay in your truck $60.00 for them

Actually the tiller goes on the top shelf. I just fold the handles and it fits nicely. I just finished using it on my small garden and havent put it up. I have found that I like different brands for different things. Some things Ive gotten really good deals on so cant pass them up. The headphones stay there because I always forget to grab them when I get out of the truck and on the mower. The trailer stays locked but if they want to break in and only still those then they can have them. Actually Im about to order the digital pair. Im tired of these jumping off channel.
On the trimmer traps I couldnt find anyone to trade for the enclosed kind so I just converted these. It looks pretty good and I didnt have to buy anything. Look close at the pics and you can see how I did it.
I did make the blower rack. I found a picture on here and just copied it.

hey nice trailer. what size is it? is it a single axle or a double?
Im looking to buy my dad a box trailer for his B-day next week and i am debating on weather or not to go with a single or a double. I am not going to use it for lawn care eaither. He will just use it to haul furniture to and from college for all my siblings and haul some atvs.
How much did you pay if you dont mind me asking.

02-23-2009, 09:01 AM
Its a 6x12 v-nose. It cost $2650 new. It is single axle. I wanted a 7x14 double axle but couldnt afford it. If you can afford it the double axle is better. This one does handle pretty good but not like a double axle does. Ive worked out of an open trailer for 15 years and I must say I like the enclosed much better.

Thanks, luckily Ive been fortunate enough to be able to afford putting alot of my profits back into the business over the years to get to where Im at now. The money is nice but like I said, I do it for the stress reliever as well as love getting out and mowing. I also like being able to afford to have these nice "toys" to use around my place.

Very nice setup, how do you like the cut of that toro z master with the 7 gauge deck?

Ive only logged 150 hours on it but I have no issues with the cut. It replaced a Toro 44" SFS(I think that is it). I think the cut may be slightly better than the SFS. Ive always had very good luck with Toro. Thats why I only run Toro's. My hand tools may be different brands but not the mowers.
