A local nursery here still has one and it still runs like new.

Ron you need to check out my local dealer. He still has 3 of the original and first posi track machines, all are still still new and have set outside on the lot just weathering away!

 What years were those made? ;) Dont look like the kind of machine that would be nice to run..

Anybody got any experience with these, how they run? how long the undercarriage lasts, things like that?

Were those ICC? I think the Case dealer had one forever and it just sorta slowly faded away. Never really looked at it.

I rememeber them from the early 1990's, dual T-bar steering and loader controls and very nimble. They came out before Takeuchi hit North America with their TL126.

When was the last time you heard a machine described as 'robust'?

Back then anything was "robust" when it had tracks.
If I go past the nursery tomorrow, I'll slow down enough, he might still have it, he also had one of the first 1 sided loader armed skids, before the JCB Crapbot came around, he had some really neat tiny toys.

Dual T-bar steering?????

Kinda like pilot controls, the left T-bar is forward/reverse, and twist it left/right to steer, the right T-bar pushed forward/backwards is loader up/down and twisting it will dump/curl the bucket.
The later models had the aux. pedal on the floor, that's where Takeuchi got the idea from.
What I really liked about the old Commander's is how high the rear of the loader arms were, that gives you major reach when the bucket it above the cab, Case had the same idea on the older 1800's.

The nursery I buy from has a bunch of these. Not sure how many but when they're out spading trees you can be sure there is a commander running the spade. They have bigger ones than the one on trader. Don't know the number though. I've never seen another ctl on site.
