Make sure you report it all stolen and let your STIHL dealer know about your stolen STIHL equipment. In their system they can flag a serial number as stolen so that when that particular machine comes in it is flagged as stolen and the thief is promptly dealt with.

Unfortunately I can tell you right now your gas cans are gone for good.

I notice with my old boss we had some kids that stole and its usually the drug losers from the valley. One left a sandle behind and we knew the kid that always wears sandles.

Then we had one that stole a street bike from a worker and we were in a truck and saw the kid riding it and we chased him and the cops caught him, LOL. Talk about luck.

Its usually someone that is a big company or had bad workers or someone that knows you.

Most I hear are from the valley, most are poor, and do drugs.

Yeah, most of the ser. #'s have been given to the police, I know most likely we are not going to see anything but maybe something will come up. In our area guys have been getting hit with lots of thefts over 5 companies in town have had equipment or trucks stolen and lots of stuff has broken trying to steal trucks and larger equipment, think with the economy it is just going to get worse. Thankyou for keeping your eyes out.

One of my good friends had a couple blowers and trimmers stolen this past fall along with the new bagger off his walk behind. Left the trailer hooked to the truck outside for 2hours and comes back to half his stuff missing.

I have been lucky. But i keep everything in a locked enclosed trailer unless i am mowing. I might change that as well. Maybe i will start locking it up when i am mowing as well.

i also have a sign on my garage that reads, " this area is protected by AR-15 assault rifles, im not aiming for your head, im aiming for your genitalia" i live in a bad neighborhood and despite multiple break ins on my street, thiefs genitalia seems to be more important to them then my motorcycles and power equipment.

Yeah, we screwed up we had a few trucks out that night salting lots, we got back at 10pm and were coming back at 4am to go out and salt everything so I didnt lock the door so the shovelers could get into the building well when I showed up at 4am everything was gone, I think whoever it was came to steal the trailer and just tried the door and found it was open and grabbed what they could, cause there was alot more stuff they could have taken and they didnt. Hey Greenman that a Yamaha you on, I got a 05 R1, no more stunting though looped a 01' R1 back in 04' and was in the hospital for a few weeks. Still do some but not as crazy just getting too old.

Everybody has their day. I have a friend who was on the berlin TPK and rear ended an explorer with his R1. The explorer pulled out infront of him while he was accelerating he chose to brake because he didnt know if his fellow rider was right next to him and didnt have time to look. Well he layed the bike down and turned his back to the explorer. He somehow managed to escape serious injury, the bike was totaled and the driver of the suv was taken away by ambulance!

i thought you might have been talkin about the mark at butler, they got horrible customer service there in sales, i gotta be bolder then i would like to be to get what i want answered.... but they are the easiest to negotiate with on price. perhaps he's somewhat bitter someone half his age is running a business, but when it comes down to it, price is all that matters.

Yea i have the 1500 52" 25 kawi. Its a 05 and i am talking with mark right now about upgrading. I really like the size of the 1500 though because it fits everywhere and all my attachments would easily fit the new mower. But i also would like the full independant suspension. Ferris went up over 1000 on the machines this year. uuggg

Punt see if he has left over 08s. I saved a good amount by getting a leftover when i got the 3000. The front suspension is much better in my opinion on the 3000 (think its 3100 now actually)

He had a 2000 61" BB 08 i was about ready to pull the trigger on but he sold it on me. He has left over 3000 though. He just goy in a bunch of liquid cooled 26 kawis for a good price but i hear those dont run the baggers well and i want the Briggs 30 BB. I will buy it this year but i am not in a rush and am waiting for mark to give me a deal i cant refuse like he did with my 1500. I was at his place the other day to get a new satrter for the 1500 and got talking to him about the 2000. He told me the 1500 and the 2000 now have the same pumps. They upgraded the pumps in the 1500. We checked the machines on his floor and indeed they were the same part number. So if i go with the 2000 the advantage is the better suspension and dual tanks. I know the 2000 would be a better ride but i can get a new 1500 briggs BB for 7600 and the 2000 is over 9k.

They have raised prices then. i got my 61" 27hp 3000z 2 years ago for 8000.. and the bagger was another 2 so it was 10600 with tax. maybe pricing will come back down once warehouses fill up with excess inventory
