hey guys, thought i would let you guys know i got a new truck. well new to me. i got a 1997 chevy silverado 3500 4x4 desil with a dump bed 44,000 miles 8.5 western plow. so i'm picking it up at 5 and i'll post pic :clapping:

6.5? hope you have better luck than the people I know who've had them.. But good luck, cant wait to see pics..

Congrats on your new desil:rolleyes: or diesel:), and the last thing you want to here is you bought a POS. The 6.5 GM diesel will Git-R-Done, won't win any race's:nono:; however with such low mile's it's a keeper Thumbs Up you have the opportunity to make the necessary improvements to ensure it lasts well beyond 100,000miles. Here's a link to Heath diesel they specialize in the 6.2 & 6.5 GM diesels, and holds a land speed record with their 6.5 diesel:dizzy:

thanks for all the great comments, i know all about the old gmc desil, my dad work for chevy and use to work on them. i'll have pics this after noon.
