Not sure this is in the bill but a CA project in Santa Anna. might be fun!? (with me you know:)) to discuss and debate.

4 major water projects for CA alone on the front page of my search!!!!? I'm starting to develop another slow burn.

Anyway this is interesting.

Haven't found it as of now. Anyway here is the search. I went to the site and typed in water for my search. Is Salazar a good guy Dana? seems to be playing both sides.

Udall and salazar seem to have a tag team set up. Stair step water projects with reclamation projects. You sponsor my bill I'll sponsor yours and we both look good and bad.

Here is a decision for a backup plan to the Southern Colorado Delivery System (http://www.sdswater.org/)

SDS Alternate Route (http://www.gazette.com/articles/utilities_48764___article.html/pipeline_county.html) - This is a backup plan if the decision to get water from Pueblo reservoir falls through.

Salazar has been a pretty good guy. Yes he plays both sides, but that's not a bad thing. You have to give a little to get a little. He has been big on getting large scale conservation/nature issues and plans going. Even before he was senator. He was actually pretty well liked, even though he barely beat out Pete Coors.

From Wikipedia
In 1986, Salazar became chief legal counsel to then Governor Roy Romer; in 1990, Romer appointed him to his Cabinet as Director of the Colorado Department of Natural Resources. In this position, he authored the Great Outdoors Colorado Amendment, which created a massive land conservation program of which he became chairman. Salazar also created the Youth in Natural Resources program to provide for environmental education in public schools. In his cabinet role, he established reforms that forced mining and petroleum operations to better protect teBio">"Biography of Senator Ken Salazar". U.S. Senator Ken Salazar. There is a bigger decision coming later in the week about the whole SCS issue. Basically, Colorado Springs has rights to water from Pueblo reservoir, and utility dept wants to spend $1 billion dollars to get it here. Primarily to a reservoir they will build in the far NW part of the city, around the Banning Lewis Ranch area that has been plagued with issues for decades. And of course now construction is slowed in that area as is all others. I believe the BLR area was scheduled to create over 250,000+ homes at its original conception.

Let me know Pete. If all can make it, I'm thinking 4:00 PM at New Belgium.

I don't want to pollute the CA Drought thread, so here is an article on Colorado's Snowpack (http://www.gazette.com/articles/percent_48951___article.html/water_colorado.html) conditions
