For sale: 18' open landscape mega-trailer. Features:

4' mesh sides (Also currently has wood sides all around)
5' side ramp gate
2 custom lockable blower racks
4 spot custom trimmer rack (lockable)
Rear ramp gate with Gorilla lift assist
top storage box with lockable access from both sides
mesh divider set in channel to separate front section (7') from back (11')
-This mesh divider can be slid out to open the trailer to the full 18'
additional steel insert with chain for pulling out leaves, brush, etc. with loader.

*Optional Billy Goat leaf loader with 16 HP Briggs Vanguard, 14' hose, and is custom painted to match trailer. A locking mechanism has been fabricated to the mesh insert to lock the Billy Goat down to prevent theft.

This trailer was built November of '07 and used basically as a second landscape trailer for the '08 season. The divider is great in case you need to separate materials/equipment- example hauling mulch in the back, and mowers, wheel barrels, etc. The trailer is currently fitted for leaf removal with wood sides, Billy Goat, etc. The trailer is available for sale with the Billy Goat, but the Billy Goat is not for sale separately. * Handhelds not included, sorry, had to do it. I included the last photo for reference to what the trailer looks like without the wood sides. Also, the blower and trimmer racks had not been added at that time. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or to see the trailer.

That is a neat tralier. What keeps the wood with the chain on it from pull through the leaves ,grass , stick,or whatever? is it on a track or what?Or is it just because it is hooked on 4 corners?

Thanks. The insert is actually a steel frame with sheet metal welded on as the face surface. The d-rings on the 4 corners and middle connect to another d-ring and then to the main chain to make the pull come out clean. There is no need for tracks. When designing the trailer, I considered using tracks, but later decided they would interfere. The insert is made the same height as the sides (4') and has a little room on either side so it can be pulled freely. A "holder" piece was made to hold the insert up when the trailer is empty to keep it from falling, but once the leaves start blowing in from the Billy Goat, they create the resistance needed to keep the insert up on its own. When you get to where you're dumping, you just lift the holder, and pull the load out with your truck, or have a loader do it, put the insert back in, and your good to go. It's pretty cool to watch. The packed leaves pull out in a big solid block.

So what's up with the chain? Can you just hook it up to you truck and pullout all the leafs with this set up? Really would be the ultimate with a dump.

Nice Trailer.

Thanks Barefoot. I think we were typing at the same time. And yes, a dump section would be really nice, heavy, and $$$ !!! So I regress. Maybe not the ultimate, but a damn fine trailer.

Very, Very cool. Did you come up with this? I have never seen anything like that. I like the whole concept. But you still need a second truck or loader on site - cause you need to have the trailer hooked to a truck or you might not be able to to pull out the block of leaves??

Thanks, yes I designed the trailer. You don't necessarily need to have a second vehicle. Earlier in the season I would just dump at the landscape supply company here in Memphis. They have a loader that zips around and pulls it out like nothing. EASY. Now, I have some land that I can dump on and compost the leaves for use in my garden, so I unhook, pull around, CHOCK the trailer wheels (very important), and pull the load out that way. It sucks having to unhook and re hook, but it's not too bad.

I assuming those are 3500 lb axles?

Do you have electric brakes on both axles?

Also, is there a breakaway switch on the trailer?

What's the width of that trailer between the wheel wells?

bryant lawn & landscape

Yes, the axles are 3500 lbs. The trailer has brakes, but I believe it's just on one axle. I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's just one. There's currently no breakaway switch, but they're pretty cheap to add on. The trailer width between the wheel wells is around 61/2 ft. I'll measure tomorrow and let you know for sure.
