I have discovered a dealer here in New Orleans that sells Tanaka. So far I really like what I see with this product. Do you have any experience with Tanaka products. If so, how well does it measure up to the industry leaders? Or is it an industry leader?

Thanks.

I'd have to disagree with that statement. That is unless you're weak. ;)

I use all tanaka handheld products and have no complaints whatsoever.

Hedge trimmers are 2 pounds heavier than my Red Max.

Weed eaters are 2 pounds heavier than my Echo or Red Max.

My drill is like a lead weight.

Carry that extra weight all day. No thanks.

BTW I did not care to much for the "brain" trimmer head either.

I still have all of them, and use them.

And they make thier covers out of aluminum, the plastic is much lighter on most of the other brands. I guess that's where they get the extra weight from.

All their trimmers run a steel shaft with 5 support bearing. That adds weight also.
