Found a used eXmark Lazer HP 17hp with a 44" deck today. 1999 or newer. It's at a dealer and he said (on the phone, i didn't look at it) that the price tag is $2850. This isn't much more than a new 36" Metro. $2299 is what he said for a Metro 36". Would $2400 be a OK offer on the Lazer? Is this an ok model? I know reduced trim area on the deck but it should do fine for what i want and be perfect size otherwise, and good price I think. waddya think? Good/bad??? Do these have the same great cut like all other eXmarks and do they stripe good (this is important to me L0L)thanks,
Eric

I have owned the eXmark 44/17 for over 2 years now. Beats ANY walk behind! I replaced a Toro belt drive wb with this mower. Unbelievable difference.

I wouldn't dream of selling mine for $2800...so I guess that means I think its a great deal. They are easy to service and the cut is great! No striping though, they don't make roller bars for anything under a 52".

Buy it, you won't regret it

Guardian, I am glad to hear you say how much better it is than a Toro WB. I was going to get a Toro WB 36" Tbar actually this summer but while pricing he told me about this one. No warranty, but that won't change my mind, i can work on this stuff. Does it still stripe anyway even without a roller? can you post a pic of a lawn you cut with it pleez? thanks,
Eric

I wouldn't bet on getting it for less than the $2850. Thats a good price in my opinion. It will stripe fine.

Hehe, don't-cha wish ya could LGF!!! Not sure if i'll get it yet. I agree, good price, but I don't have the money yet.
Esby, I don't have any clue about the hours. It wasn't at this dealer but another in the chain and they didn't include the hours in the little report thingy about it.

Maybe it's just me, but i think you said you cut your lawn and a neighbors. One day you love your rear engine rider, now you want a $3k machine. I'm just wondering how you plan on paying the mower off if your one house you mow is a $20 job.

Maybe it's just me, but for two lawns i don't see a need to replace your riding mower.

Eric - I am sorry, the only turf pics I have from the 44/17 are too big to attach (Thats what it says every time I try)

You will not be unhappy with this mower. I'd love the chance to buy it myself!

I guess you haven't been on here much. I beleive I mentioned multiple times that I would like to get alot more this year, like 15 or 20. I like my rider and will keep it after I get a Commercial mower, but as you know it probably won't last very long and definately won't be near as productive. Hmm.. maybe it is just you.
Guardian, could you email them to me? bush_hog_v36@yahoo.com
thanks,
Eric

Go shove it? Because i'd get banned for saying what i'm thinking, i'll just keep it in my head. For someone without a liscense and relying on their parents for rides, i wouldn't be going out and trying to get 20 more accounts.

But hey, since you know everything go ahead. I think this site has turned from a commercial forum to an online baby stting site for 13 year olds.

I've been wishing you WOULD keep your thoughts in your head. In case you forgot, you were my age once, and BTW, i'm not 13 either. I'm 15 if it's any consolation. I don't think 15 lawns is too many. I think you're jealous because you work for peanuts pumping gas 40 hours a week instead of mowing :p . I have no more to say to you and will not read anything more from you either.

ihave to back bryan up on this one, how are u going to get $3k? what if u dont get 15-20 lawns? right now u got 1 or 2 or maybe even 3, what if u dont get any more? lets say u barrow the money and say ur getting all these lawns, what if u dont? i know its hard and u wanna get everything and all as i am 16 and in a similar boat, but im not thinking crazy and making big jumps and buying ztrs, why not get a walk behind first? and also everything has a price for a reason, or in other words, its that cheap for a reason.

Working for peanuts pumping gas, hmmm wait, no. If i'm correct u made minimum wage at your job cleaning a bathroom at a john deere dealership while i start at $8 an hour and have gotten raises.

I don't care i work at a gas station, slam me, go ahead.

It's pretty funny though coming from a person who's life revolves around a tractor.

The day you buy yourself a truck with under 100k miles and newer than 7 years old, and pay for it all yourself, i'll owe you an apology, but up until then, i wouldn't be making fun of people because they work harder than you ever will.

Cut the BS,

So give the number now BushHogBoy.

Do I hear $2700

And NO!!! Hoss:D

Ya i'm done fightin. As I said, I've got nothing to say to that loozer. You guys can bid on the price all you like but I'm not sure who you think is going to pay the difference between your winning bid and $2850. Plus transportation.
Oh yea, I'm not sure I want you to get this mower if i'm gonna try to get it...
My life does NOT revolve around a tractor. It's my hobby that I enjoy very much. It is not an obsession. I quit the job at John Deere. I got to mow half the time. That was not so bad. The staff there was nice but I left because of the pay and the other half of the work. I instead got a better job that paid $10 an hour for a farmer. I enjoyed the work much better, it paid better and was right across the road.
And bryan, unless you've baled hay all day long in 95 degree humid weather, or put it away in a hot enclosed barn for that matter, you have no right to say you work harder than i do. You think you're something just cause you got your own truck and suddenly you're superior to everyone who doesn't have a truck or an eXmark metro. NOT SO! Some people set goals for themselves. I think you don't set goals for yourself and then since you have no life because of a lack of goals, you put others who do have goals down. I just hate people like you. You really suck you know that? I could go on.

Throughout this saga, you failed to mention if you got the mower or not.

I don't feel like arguing anymore with this kid, just want to know if he got the mower or not.

The bidding was a joke.

BTW if you are not going to get it, please email me the number and I will buy it.

FrankenScagMachines

I would have to be sure how many accounts I can get before buying it. If I can't get over xx accounts I'm not gonna get it. Maybe 10 or more hopefully. They're around 1/2 to 1 1/4 acre a peice (the property's i'm aiming for) and I can work a good 30 to 35 hours a week if necessary. I'm homeschooled and can get done by noon if i get up around 7 am. and work hard. Then after lunch out to work. And all day Saturday if needed but i'd kinda like to keep the hours down on Saturdays if i can. So it will be a couple weeks 'till I know for sure. I will be sure to update you with pics and details if I get it.
