i need to come up with something to hang trimmers and stuff from. the studs run parallel to the floor and are spaced to far apart, it is a steel building the studs are just for the insulation and the electric outlets. any ideas?

Nice deal.....could you just screw some 2x4s into those studs and go from there maybe...

Free standing racks. Use 2x4's for the legs and cross braces. Then build a few shelves out of plywood for all the "things" and then use a 2x6 for the top cross beams. Use a scroll saw and cut little "U" shaped holders. Now the trimmers will be craddled in the cuts. If you place the trimmers opposite of each other, (engine to trimmer head and reverse) you should be able to save space. I will try to get pics at my buddies shop. I use to have these, but upgraded to trimmer racks bolted to the wall. I dont know if you can drill and bolt to the walls, but if your renting, then it may not be adviseable. Good luck, and I will try to get the pics next week.

make sure you use all your vertical space. I know I could fill that place up in a heartbeat. you have a lot of room if you put in pallet racking. Put your off-season stuff up high and out of the way.
