How much per yard are you all getting your mulch for...
For this one project I need 70 yards of Cocoa Brown Mulch= got is priced at $1960 and thats with delivery, so thats 28 bucks a yard? Does that sound about right or is it cheaper anywhere closer where you all are from...Im getting mine around the KC area..
Thanks,
Cole

You do know that stuff is deadly to dogs, it contains a natural chemical called Theobromine (spelling) it only takes a very small amount to do the damage. once it is ingested it is almost always fatal, might want to look into it before you put it down. if you do still want to put it down besure you disclose this info with your client.

There might be some truth to that.

Are we talking actual Cocoa Mulch or mulch that has been dyed cocoa brown in color?

Moose, I think he means Cocoa Colored mulch, not cocoa shell mulch.
If I am buying a trailer worth of mulch, I am not paying that delivery or not.
Call around. What are you charging per yard for installation?

28 bucks a yard sounds pretty high. I was paying between 15 & 22 bucks a yard last season depending on were i got it from.

I use the good stuff because i used to buy crap that was really cheep and it lost me customers. the suff i buy now retails for 28.50$ a yard not delivered but i have an account with my tax ID and that lets me buy it for 19.00$ a yard. but around here it is usually an extra 10$ a yard if you need it delivered.

What can you buy it for without delivery? if it is around 20$ i would suggest renting a dump trailer and doing it yourself it migh save you aroun 100$ or so.
im guessing the 8 extra dollers is for shipping per yard and that x 70 = 560$ just for them to ship it. i think a dump rentl would be 300$ for a day plus 50$ in gas so 560-350= 210$ savings. just something to think about.
