I would suggest Yahoo. I think they are running a special right now for 1.99 for the first year and you can use thier webbuilding tool. They have templates you can use but I would use the customization tool so you dont worry about your site looking like a million others.

I keep getting emails from Homestead.com they advertise free trials and like 5 bucks a month, 5 page sites. I've seen some of the examples and they're not bad.

Yes, I use Homestead.com They are part of Intuit Company so there's even a way to link credit card payment on your website to your Quickbooks Program if you use it. I pay $8/month for a nice 5 page site.....it's not too fancy but does the trick....best of luck!!!

I use lunarpages. They have tools, and quite a few plans to choose from (pay as you go and pre-paid). Service and realibility are top notch.

I use http://www.bluehost.com/ it's only $6.95 per month, you get free unlimited hosting space, free domain name registry, and a whole wack of other free stuff including $50 in credits for google adwords and $25 for yahoo.

As for the site itself go to http://www.oswd.org/ or http://www.openwebdesign.org/ or just google "Open Source Web Design". There are lots of free templates out there that look really good.
