That's pretty terrible that they'd put that online.
Imagine if that was your family member there.

There are few words consisting of MORE than 4 letters that I would care to use right now.
Something seems ever so slightly off about this, but that's just me....

I didn't open it. If it's the guy who is eaten alive by the pirhannas, I don't want to see it again. Saw it a few months ago and it bothered me for 3 days! I never posted a link because it was so disturbing. Gotta have a warning for those things and I worked inner city EMS for a number of years and have seen some bad stuff but that was about the most troublesome for me!

If it's the one I saw, it would have to be around the Amazon area. I got it from a friend in the oil business. Said it was a pipeline that was being worked on when the excavator rolled. As the guy tried to get out of the cab, he cut his hand and that attracted the fish. Takes about 1 minute or less to do that kind of damage. Quick death but that isn't very comforting.

That's messed up! I never really considered those things to be as bad as they apparently are. Sucks for that guy. Lose Lose situation.

I still can't get that image out of my head:dizzy:
wonder why they went straight for the head? I mean that had to be a bad way to go, I rather just drown in the cab that to get eaten alive by a F-ing fish!
I would never live in a place that had fish that could do that to you... i don't wanna go fishing now:dizzy:

I figured it was exposed versus what he had a shirt or jacket covering.
I figure there was only a small crack in the glass to let in the small fish. They aren't very big. I imagine he drowned pretty quick. He was probably underwater, struggling and when the first fist attacked, that was about it. Swallowed water and lost consciousness...at least that's what I hope happened.
That amazon is full of scary stuff. I had a picture of a gutted anaconda with an oilfield worker partially digested. Won't even talk about the bugs..

Same here, we talked about the amazon, scared the living crap out of me. Man, no way I would live some place that I could be swallowed by a freakin snake.. :dizzy: ;)

I don't know guys, I really kind of don't buy it. I watched Jackass and Steve-O did a stunt like that where they cover him in fish guts and dumped him in a tank with red bellies. He didn't even get bit once, but that doesn't mean it can't happen. Don't you think he could swim to land before the fish ate him?

I think its probably real. It could be fast if he was in the right (or wrong) spot. I remember a few years back some idiots let a piranha go in the local man made beach....it didn't live long because its a cold fresh water beach but wow, that could have been bad.

There are a couple here in the Ohio River that have been seen or caught but no where near enough to form a school big enough to kill you. (At least I don't think) LOL

I found it disturbing at first, but after 4 times of looking through it, it's nothing, I guess I am just screwed up.
I've seen a pregnant cow that burned alive in a huge barn fire, it's belly swelled and popped open the fetus was still intact, quite the anatomy lesson.

You're just a freak, Ron.
It does go to show you that CSI goes to great lengths to make things on their show look realistic. If you told me that was a CSI episode I probably wouldn't have questioned it.

Last year I was building a pond on a goat farm, something was going around a three goats just up and died oneday. Well I had a big hole dug and was burning some old trees that I cleared in it. The fellow drug the dead goats down near the pile and just left them. I though he was going to get me to dig a hole and bury them.... nope when He got the 3rd one down there he chuncked them into the flaming hole! I was like WTF!
I guess whatever turns ya on...

It doesnt really bother me, after being around all kinds of shot and gutted deer(missing parts, pieces left hanging, things like that;)) It doesnt bother me, the thing that bothers me is how he felt when it was happening, what was goin through his mind, what his last thought was, thats what creeps me out..

It was a sad picture but I must be messed up like Ron because I slept fine that night. :/ Anyway, was at a book store and saw a book of a guy who swam the Amazon. I'm sure he didn't get an injury because he wrote about it.

From what I've learned in school(yeah, I pay attention sometimes:laugh:) piranahs(sp?) wont actually bother you unless you are bleeding, so they are basically little ruthless sharks.
The thing I did learn is guys shouldnt go skinny dipping in the Amazon, the teach said piranahs will literally uh, yeah, just eat them off.. He said it happens to bulls constantly.. ;)

Yup, as long as you're not bleeding you're good to go. And yes, I'd take extra precautionary measure in protecting the lady's toy.

you guys should join your local Search and Rescue unit! That will toughen you up. Makes a fish eaten corps look tame. But I would guess most of that damage was done after he was dead. Or that what I will choose to think.

exactly. It's the empathy some of us have for the those that suffered. Dead bodies don't bother me in the least. I weaned off that in my early days of EMS training. It's the tragic and shocking reality of what can happen when your time is up that makes me think..
