Hello, I am putting in a bid to bring in some dirt and then seed the area. I have figured up everything that i will need including the 33 cubic yards of dirt, rentals, seed, straw etc. I normally dont do this kind of work so i am not really sure what would be a fair price. I calculate that i will have about $1200.00 bucks in just expenses for this job.

What would be a fair price for labor? I feel the price is going to be much higher than normal just because i will have to rent everything.

Thanks for any help

I would just double the price, 1200 material, 1200 for labor. But you need to take in account if any your over head charges, fuel, insurance, employees, etc.

Thanks for the reply.

Usually i double the cost of materials in other instances, but i thought it may seem way out of range because i will have to rent a bobcat, seeder etc. to do the job. I am also figuring in if i have to rerent a seeder if parts do not come up.
