Just picked up this truck the other day its an 02 f350 with the 7.3L powerstroke. The truck only had 12k miles and is in great shape with the exception of some scrathes on the dump body. Also came withe a 8.6 Ft western ultramount plow

It was clean the day I picked it up but it rained the next day so got a little dirty.
I have a chrome grill on order for it and will be making polished aluminum sides for the dump bed next week the it is getting lettered by next month.

Very nice man!! Too bad you didnt find this before last fall so you wouldnt have had to dump all the money in the '87.....perfect truck too, the 7.3L with hardly any miles and a nice plow.

Yea the 87 was getting on my nerves lol I had to rebuild the trans. on it and had to pull the trans. on my back in my driveway. I have always wanted a
7.3L diesel . this is one of the last good ford diesels out there Lol

paid 16k for it. maybe too much who knows but it was the truck i wanted. The dealer also serviced it (fuel, air , oil change ) put all new pads , rotors, and calipers all the way around ( 4 wheel disc brakes ) and 2 new batteries

O and it came with a free flat screen LCD tv dvd combo Lol Shhh thats the real reason I bought the truck but dont tell my girlfriend

Thanks, I thought so too. like I said I have always wanted an f350 with the
7.3 so when I saw this one with 12k miles I jumped on it. the interior is spotless doesnt even looked like they used it for work

Great looking truck! Simulators? Is the grille a billet grille? That would look nice. Get some ambers on it too and it'll be the ultimate work truck! Good luck this year!

thank you. I will be looking into simulators for sure. the grill is a stock chrome grill looks the same as whats on there just all chrome. I will be putting polished sides on it i hope this week and getting rid of the wood . I will also be getting some sort of ambers by next winter too , maybe strobes in the head and taillights

Thanks , the plow has a bunch of surface rust and the paint is peeling but if time allows I want to sandblast and paint it before winter

Lol thanks , I had some influence at the dealer because I used to work there for 6 yrs and Im still friends with most everyone up there . Although the dealer I work at now probably isnt happy I bought a truck elsewhere

Yes for sure . I am real familiar with all the fords , my fulltime job is a ford diesel tech for last 10 yrs. Thats the reason I wanted the &.3 so bad

Well wouldnt be so bad but its all happening after my warranty just expired (go figure) my egr cooler hose is now leaking, tranny is not shifting properly if you are crusing along and go to get on it it will just rev up, and when I am making a turn it seems to go out of gear every now and then, also have to go get it checked out for making some weird noise in the front end thinkn its somethin with the suspension..oh ya and today when I turn the key forward my power for radio,odometer,windows and not sure what else is delayed for close to a min then comes on.....think thats it for now lol:hammerhead:

wow Lol the egr cooler hose isnt that big a job really, those tourque shift trans. had a bunch of problems with a snap ring that holds a clutch pack in near the rear of the case , the noise in the front end may be the swaybar links if its a clunk type noise. you usually will tend to feel it in the floor

Thats a sweat truck, you got a GREAT deal @ 16K with 12,000 miles. Keep the oil clean the HEUI injectors don't like dirty oil.

Thanks, the actual mileage was 12843 Lol even still thats nothin for a 7.3
and yes i will be changing my oil every 3k miles. some argue thats too much but it will almost guarantee no injector failure I hope

I think you got a pretty good deal at 16000. That's basically a brand new 7.3 Trucks like that with 150.000+ miles are selling for 10-12.000 around me. The plow alone is worth a couple thousand.

That is a beautiful truck, and IMO a screamin deal. I gave 12K for my 96 with 100k, and felt that it was an ok deal (awesome condition, lots of new/warranteed parts). Look forward to seein it lettered.

I agree those motors last forever with proper care. I know a bunch of people with over 200 k on thier 7.3. and yes the plow was a bonus, I would have bought the truck with or without it but now I can hopefully plow next yr and add some cash flow

Yes I got it from the ford dealer I used to work at. They were asking $19500.00 for it but since I know most everyone there and worked there for 6 yrs they gave me a great discount. Plus me and my family have bought many cars there and sent alot of sales thier way

Nice truck. I love the color. I have a F550 with the same plow. Check the uprights at the bottom were the bolts are. I have two of them break there. We welded them back together. Look at the front springs on the truck. They tend to crack. I just had two of them replaced on an F250 today and it was $600. Also make sure the cam sensor has been replaced.
I would like to fiend one that clean in Cleveland.

Thanks, I checked over the truck top to bottom before I bought it even put it up on the lift. I am actually a full time diesel tech at a different ford dealer so I made sure everything was in tip top shape Lol even made the replace the 4x4 lever cause it would stick going into 4 low. I will check the plow though, it has some rust on the frame and such

Lol figures.. thats when all the bad S&%$ happens .. I have a great western dealer 2 miles from me and they are always open 24 hrs during a storm.. and I have a welder, torches and all the tools I need in my garage thank god
