I bought an older dump truck, it's a 76 chevy c30 with a 454.
The problem is the electric dump wont lift a load of mulch. I looked at the cylinder and it doesnt appear to be leaking, what else should I check or change before I take it to a shop.

P.S. It dumps empty and with a load I can get under it with another person and push with my legs while some1 hits the button and it lifts.

Any ideas?

Have you checked the fluid level?

Don't load it as heavy, that's just the thing with electric lifts, but...

That is extremely dangerous, are you just tired of life?
Those hydraulic cylinders, when they do leak it's because it can spring a leak anytime,
or if anything else goes wrong you are so dead, steel sandwich.

I'm not in between anything, i'm actually under the entire truck. It's not even a complete load of mulch, maybe a yard or a yard and a half.

Treat this like a hydro mower with weak/slow movement and change the oil and filter (I would hope there's a filter) and see what happens before going to a shop.

crank up the pressure coming out of the pump
