You might want to list protein content as well, if the product is not licensed by ISU. I think you want 60% protein content for weed suppression. Some you can get have 40% protein.

Natty you are correct the protein percentage has to 60% or better to be effective as a pre-M
I do belive Barry has liquid CGH (hydrolyslate) for $19.96 for 2000 sq ft treated. It is $39.95 for a gallon bottle that treats 4000 sq ft. represents 80 pounds of CGM
it is mix with water at 3:1 ratio, one quart treats 1000 sq ft

Thank you, good point.
Another thing to specify is powder or pellet.
So, for me $25 per 40# bag of 60% protein pellet CGM.

Yes 1.5% N
many states have laws on the books that no more than 1 pound of N may be applied at one time, with CGM you are applying 2 pounds of N at 20 pounds per 1000 sq ft
with the Gluten-8 product you are applying roughly 1/3 of a pound of N per 1000

I think it doesn't make sense either way??? Are you saying you will get pre emergent herbicidal properties if it's composted??

TG is selecting for the properties that they want in the compost. I have no idea if the pre-m properties move along as well, probably not, but I have no data
CGM is excellent food for the herd, high in protein
If you live in an area that has acidic soil and you lime every year, don't add the lime to the turf, add it to your compost that you will apply on the turf.
You are selecting for the microbes that you want to do the job or selecting for the traits that you want that may be absent in the soil on your sites

$ 8.80 per 1000 sq ft, that is a good price compared to the rest which are paying $12 to $14 per 1000
I guess being near the mill makes a difference
