The title pretty much says it all. I'm looking for a 34" ZTR with fairly low hours. Im in northwest Louisiana but will travel a little ways for a good deal. If you have one, please respond here.

Thanks in advance!

edit - you can't post an email address at the site. thanks, Mike

I do know a LCO here that has a 34z Gravely with less than 200 hours on it for sale. If you are interested, pm me, and I will catch up with him and get all the information for you. I think its pretty new, he only used it for a few accounts that had little gates, but he said he lost those this season due to the economy. It is in Paris, TX though, so might be a little more drive than what you want.

Retrodog, I cant pm for some reason but thank you for your response. I'd probably be willing to make that drive but before you go burdening yourself looking for the guy, any idea what he may want for it? I looked at a new one yesterday, damn expensive but, they have a good financing option right now. I just hate to put myself in debt just to get started in the LC biz..
Thanks again!

Hey, I think he wants $2000 for it (I will have to double check that one), but I called our local dealer today and asked if he knew of some used ones. He said that he had a brand new 08 he would blow out for $2850. Hope that helps you get a good price anyways....

Man I cant even tell you how much I appreciate your help!! I'd love to get your dealers number so that I can make arrangements to pick that up. I got a price of $5450 locally so I'll definately take a 4 hour trip to save that kinda money. I owe you big time! Seriously man, while I'm in your area getting the mower I'd like to give you a "finders fee" for your help.

2850 for a 34Z or 2850 for the home owner version? If thats the price for the 34Z you better grab it.

Yeah man I definately will if it works out. I've been glued to my computer waiting on the dealers information so that I can call and put a deposit on it.
I see you have a 34z, how do you like it? Does it really rut up lawns like some say?

Thank you Krayz Kajun! I really appreciate all of the help you guys have offered. Ive called every dealer in a 150 mile radius of me for a Phazer or 34z and havent found one in stock that the dealer isnt trying to bend me over for..
Something has come up since I made this post that is going to force me to finance now, so I've gotta buy from a dealer.

Krayz, that is a home owner version. My dealer has a 34Z in stock for 5500.00.

ChristianJ318, I like my 34Z except for the rutting. I am in the middle of trying a wider tire to help prevent the rutting. Have considered a walk behind? I am also considering a walk behind myself.

I've gotten prices from 4999 to 6575 on the 34z but I just saw an ad for a new Hustler super duty 36 for 3699 with 0% interest about a 100 miles from me. I'm gonna try to take a look at it tomorrow or Tuesday to make sure it will fit through gates. Its a little bit lighter and longer mower than the 34z, maybe it wouldn't rut as bad?? I have thought about a walk behind but, whatever mower I buy is going to be my primary mower so a wb doesnt really fit me for primary use.

If you have to go with a wider tire wouldnt that keep you from getting through a 36" gate? Please let me know if it helps or if you can still get through the gates.

I am also considering a walk behind myself.

There is a Exmark metro 36" with sulky and mulching kit in my local paper for 600.

Christian, I would think that the Hustler you saw was also a home owner mower. The commercial Hustler 36 would be in the same price range as the Gravely 34Z. I could be wrong, but when I shopped the Hustler Fastrak was around that price range. Also, remember that since it has a 36" cut, the mower will be wider. So if you plan on using through 36" gates you may have a problem. Go to their website and look at the specification sheet, it will give you the demensions of the mower. A walk behind may just be your answer. Have you checked out Better Outdoor Products. They have some nice mowers and great reviews.

Good Luck

It was a misprint, the ad read "super duty fastrak 36 special pricing $3699"
The actual price for it is 4799. Still not too bad I dont think.
