Getting ready to do my first overseeding project. Will rent a slit seeder. We are just beginning to thaw out in NW PA. My question is, can I overseed now or will I risk losing the seed to a bout of cold weather?...Or isn't that really going to be a problem since the seed will need warmth to germinate anyway?

It doesn't matter. Just don't go on to semi-frozen ground with heavy machinery.
