This will be the 5th season for my JS63 JD 21" self-propelled mower.
when i mowed sonic yesterday the rear wheels made a popping
sound when i would make a turn. tranny is sealed. non serviceable?
had lubed the wheels a week ago per maint. instructions. any ideas
what could be causing this? thanks for any input.:confused:

Those transmissions are known for crapping out. Make sure your speed selector is letting it hold the gear right. (move the lever a little up and down).

You can also pull off the rear wheels and lube the gears that drive the wheels. They have a small spring and tab inside that allows the wheels to 'free spin' and they often get gummed up and need cleaning. It's an easy to do deal, just watch what order you took everything apart.
