Really, I didnt know that!

Anyone know what plane that is? I used to be a very frequent flyer on AA and I always got stuck on this model plane. They are one of the oldest planes in the fleet are are almost entirely mechanical (Linkages and such). They have very little ammentities and arent very big but they are very reliable.

I thought so too at first but then it couldnt be unless the mappers put it there. Actually, at first I thought it was on the ground, didnt expect the image to catch it i nthe air like that.

I believe is an MD-80. Made by Boeing I think.

i was gonna say DC-10, but my commercial plane knowledge extends to what ive seen on history and TLC channels.

it's an MD-80, the DC-10 has 3 engines, 2 are on the wings, 1 by the rear tail. AA has like 300 md-80s

Yup its the McDonnel Douglas Super 80. Or more comonly known as the MD-80. Very identifiable plane. They are the work horse for AA and old.
