here is my 500 dollar mower i picked up with engine problems i replaced a bent valve,new head gaskets and valve guide seals its blowing oil out the exaust port what now is it the rings or head gasket not seat properly, how ever the head gasket got bent alittle i bent it back but i probly should of replaced it you think that might of weakened it thanks ken

Well Ken,
Myself, I wouldn't have installed a creased head gasket. Did you check the breather reed ?

The reed is right on the top of the engine under the breather cover, that small screw is holding it in place;

Don't believe a valve stem seal will cause the amount of oil you describe....

i replaced the head gasket it fixed the problem with oil blowing out of exaust port,the breather hose that comes out top of engine on horizantal to air filter should be blowing oil down the carb????and i didnt check the reed valve either yet

While your at the reed, make sure the filter in the cavity isn't falling apart. If it is brittle, replace it. It can get under the reed and give you the same symptom

i took of the reed plate and discovered there is no screen inside, isnt it suppose to have a screen just like in the picture
