So we finally got some nicer weather last week. Mid-50's no lower that 35 at night, and I thought I might get out and do some work.
Three days ago it started raining, got around 3.5 inches, temps have now reached a high of 33 today, and a low of 15 tonight.
I really want to get busy, so I'm not on lawnsite so much.
Anyone else having a slow start. Normally I have all my spring cleanups started by now.

No, I'm actually getting an unusually early start, I haven't finished seasonal
maintenance and already I got 3 days worth of customer-related work to do.
That reminds me, I need to go renew the tags on my truck, seeing how they're expired.

We got warm early too. I was excited. I got all my maintenance done. Did a few spring cleanups. Even started mowing a few yards and doing fertilizer. This week has been in the 40s, though. We are supposed to get snow tonight! This is March in TEXAS, you've got to be kidding me. urgg.

I feel your pain.....here its been unseasonably cold (15-20 degrees below zero. We usually start cleanups mid February, yet we still have a foot of snow on the ground and it hasnt gotten above freezing for weeks, so its not going anywhere soon. Its starting to hurt the pocketbook too as we havent had any snow to plow either, just stagnant cold weather that we cant to anything in....getting kind of depressing....

I feel ya, I was looking forward to wraping up some things that were not done last fall due to my hand injury, I have some part time help right now that is worth way more than i pay him. wish i could pay him more to keep him year round. he understands what maintance is and has to have a clean shop. did i mention he is self motivated if im at a dr apt. and i come back he has gotten 2-3x the amount of work done than anybody else would!!! Looks like this weekend we are going to start digging out around a foundation to repair craking.

I at least got out tonight and dropped the plow off my work truck.
I figured if I was going to sit around the next week, it might as well snow so I can plow, and I figured to get it to snow, take the plow off the truck.:hammerhead:

That's funny. I thought I was the only one. Weatherman says 3-6", I put my blade on....nothing. Weatherman says 1", I leave it off, we get 3-6". Go figure.
Zero here last night but 50's by the week-end. I LOVE Minnesota.:)

Hey meicher, I had a guy like that last summer. Turns out he had cocaine problem and spent the second half of the summer in rehab. If it ever seems too good to be true, it probably is. :)
Anywho, I'm looking at 2" of snow right now, but it's supposed to be back to 70-80 degree temps next week--only west texas.
At least I got an hour of work done this morning before the snow hit. Had to cancel all my stuff for tomorrow, but next week is spring break so I should have alot of time to get stuff done.

I'm just getting back to work after rotator cuff surgery in January, which I put off for 6 months in order to get the fall work done. In addition to an already busy schedule, I'm buying 39 new accounts which need pre-emergent/fert/weed killer in the next 2 weeks, and Mom Nat decides it's time for us to get a year's worth of snow and rain in one month! Daylight Savings Time is going to be battered and bloody by the time this app is complete.
