I need a 36" walkbehind, and I have been looking around.

This mower came up on craigslist in my area. The owner is asking $950 for it, but I've seen it on craigslist for a while, so I might be able to talk him down a bit.

The description is:

"I have for sale a very well cared for and non-commercially used 15hp Kohler 36" Self Propelled Commercial Lawn Mower . This was purchased a few years ago from Landscaper Supply for Over $2200 so 950 is a firm price but cash talks . This is a great mower and has served us well . I am selling due to needing a tractor for other projects. You will not be disappointed by this mower. Can also arrange delivery if need be."

Now, I tried to do some research on this landscaper supply mower, not a whole lot of information. This is where I need your help folks. I believe it is made by scag, but I could be wrong. Should I considering going foward with this?

Yeah, thats not a scag. Thats a " Landscaper Supply " mower.

i dont know if i'd get it. usually off brands suck!!

If you really want it, offer him $650 cash.

Yea, I haven't heard anything good about those mowers. Atleast parts are readily available from Landscaper Pro! I'd offer him $650 if you really want it. My best advice would be just go buy a brand new one. If you use it to make money it will pay for itself and outlast this one 3 times.

Not sure about them......Check around to see who runs those.

Call your dealer also and see how parts run ya. availability

Just buy a brand name mower to be safe.

Before i bought that i would look for a used scag. You can usually get a 36" for about 800-900 bucks used and scag is a much better commerical more then that i asume

Alright, I am passing on that walk behind. I am now looking at a 36" Toro Proline for $800. A much better product yes?

yeas that is a great mower! I've used Toro's for 10 yrs they hold up very well.:clapping:

I would say that is a good choice. Toro is a quality product.

Well folks, I got the 36" Toro Proline for $750 plus tax. I like it already. Got a couple rust spots, can easily be painted and cleaned up. It'll look brand new!

Should be a good machine. Looks like its about 12-15 years old by the looks of the 12.5 kawi. Keep an eye on the trans. I don't like the seepage. Good luck.
