they are not slip fixes, they are $10 non servicable check valves

I think they may have used the one outside in case the house settles. Maybe the one inside is in case the house starts leaning? :laugh:

Same packaging, different innards. In olden days, I saw two cheapo swing checks in a row, on copper pipe, pretending to be more.

Only on a non- continuously charged lateral. They will leak under pressure, like Marlex ells.

Done many a continuously pressurized mainline repair with them with no leaks.
