My EB630 was stolen last night. Need to replace. EB633 or 802? Thanks for the help.:waving:

EB802! The EB633 is a re-badged Echo PB-755 (Not that it's a bad blower, but the EB802 is more powerful). Optionally, check into the EB8520...just released. Shindaiwa took the EB8510 and completely redesigned it. It's THE most powerful (and possibly the most comfortable) 4 stroke backpack blower on the market.

I had heard the 8510 had lots of problems. Curious. Surely they redesigned it. Shindy is not known for junk equipment. I'll be picking one up in the morning. Thanks for the help!

I tried out the 802, and it will be my next blower.

The 802 is a great blower. I had an echo 755 and it is much more powerful. The 802 feels lighter and is more comfortable than my 755 was.

Yep. The 8520 is a "second generation" engine. Shindaiwa took all the feedback they had gotten from users of the EB8510, redesigned it and produced the EB8520. It has a lot of engine improvements, but one of the biggest improvements was comfort. (They used this same super comfy frame on the EB802).

I just picked up a eb8510 about a month ago. Only reason I bought that and not the new eb8520 is because I got a great deal on it. We will see how it holds up.

I had an 8510 and it didn't last a year. Most powerful engine, cheap construction. Have 2 802s now. Still the most powerful BP I know of.

I tried an EB802 out at the dealer.

I am comparing to a RedMax EBZ8001.

The Shindy is much more comfortable, and blows just as hard as the redmax.

Really nice BP blower. I'll stick with my 8001's though.

I've got an 802. What a beast, and rests easy on the shoulders/back (good adjustment system). I demo'd it against a comparable Redmax, and it was hands down the better unit.

I originally took home the one with the controls on the left, but am glad that I got the one (delivered several days later) with the controls on the tube.

You won't be disappointed.

Is the eb8520 out already or do we have to wait a little longer?

I've got the 802 and the RM 8001. 802 is a lot more comfortable, much lighter too, but the 8001 is a lot more powerful.

What do the 802's and the 8510's cost? My dealer has a few 8510'2 left for $499 but ive heard alot of bad things about them but im in the process of switching from stihl to all shindaiwa. What is comparable from shindaiwa to the br600?

The EB802 is the best blower on the market, period. Will last for 10 or more years, and you won't have to touch it (almost). Put the high-speed nozzle on it and you will have just as much power as the RedMax 8001.

The new and just released EB8520 sounds REALLY good (maybe even better than the EB802), with high fuel efficiency, and even more power than the 802. It's got the new comfortable backpad frame, and the vastly improved C4 engine. It is probably the very most powerful blower on the market, and I bet it would outblow the RedMax 8001 in a hurry.

I have a Stihl BR 600, and really like it, but would recommend the Shindaiwa's over it. I think the price on the 802 is around $500, and I don't know about the 8520.

After the 8510 debacle I'll wait on the new 8520. For Shindy the 8510 was a real disaster. A lot of people got burned dealers as well.

The 802 is unbelievable!!! Ran them all and this one is the best in all areas. Most comnfortable and runs like a raped ape. You'll be blowng bricks across the parking lot. Our dealer here has the 8510's for $449.00. Will ship if anybody wats one. They were $499.00. Has 5 left and is trying to get rid of them. Everybody gets the 802 now. Best blower out there for sure right now.
