It is a very nice unit... $3200 seems a bit steep, I'd look for one online.. may you could find a better deal.

You won't find a Lawn Solutions aerator anywhere but at Lawn Solutions. $3250 is below the price of any decent new aerator on the market. This machine is incredible and well worth the investment. You can earn back the cost of the machine in a few days without beating yourself up. This is a no-brainer if ever there was one.

Well said. I agree, i have no complaints about the cost. The ease of operation and the pure simplicity of the design make this unit the one you want to own. I can do all the service myself, i love that! This thing is like the KUBOTA of WB aerators.

For $3,250 we are almost giving them away.
You will pay more than that for a belt driven aerator and with ours you get a true closed loop hydrostatic drive that is easy to use.
Try it for 10 minunutes and you won't use anything else.

David,
Could you please post the video for the ride on unit?
Also how deep will the ride on unit go?
What is the speed on that unit?
Is the cost around 6K?
Please remember to be in touch with me next time you are over my way!
Thanks,
RC

The ride-on will pull plugs upto 4" deep, but it does best at 3". When you go over 3" then hole start to get elongated due to the depth of the plug when it comes out.
After talking with you on the phone, we are going to make 2 models. We have the 28" aerating width one which is 43" - 47" wide depending on which tires are used.
The 2nd will be a one designed for gates based on your feedback. Our goad is to make it 35.5" wide so it will fit through 36" gates. We will do some market research to determine exactly what is needed for the smaller unit. It will be similar to the larger one but just scaled down.
Video (http://www.lawnsolutionscp.com/video/Aerator.wmv)
The large one is $6,500.
It can be setup for a top speed of 6mph, 7mph, or 8mph. This is done by chainging the main sprocket on the hydro motor. It takes about 5-10 minutes to change and give a true change in the feel, torque, speed of the unit instead of changing the amount the hydro pump is stroked. This will give a much better feel at the controls and allow LCO owners to limit the speed of the unit who have employees. Most will only want 6mph, but if you are doing large areas or sports turf, you can open it up by changing the top end to 8mph.
The smaller should be around $5,500 - $6,000, It will be out this summer. It will be like the larger units, use a lot of the same parts, but a smaller frame.
We are working on setting up a demo day in Dayton over the next few weeks. I'll let you know.

David (lawn Solutions) Why don't you have the areators on your website? Obviously you are selling them... You need to post all the specs on your site for everyone to look at.
I assume that the machine that Lawn King purchaced is the 21" walk behind model? Is that a full 21" from left tine to right tine, or is that the overall machine width? I'd like to have one, my old ryan is NOT fun to operate, and the next choice on my list was a Plugr, but I'm not hearing great things about them when it comes to softer ground, sand, or hills, unless you shell out big money for the hydro drive model... The lawn Solutions walk model looks slick for sure. Now I don't remember, can a person use a sulkey behind it for the big straight-shot open areas?

Same here David (Lawn Solutions), I want to know more...more...more.
I seen in the video that the tine spacing is 3.5" but I dont understand if that is the spacing from the center point of each tine wheel or the distance between the tines on the wheel?
Also, how many tines per wheel,5-6 or more?
Do I buy the replacement tines from Lawn Solutions or are they interchangeable with another brand that most dealers already carry?
A picture of the wheel would be cool!!!!

Below is a picture of the Tine ASM. The aerating pattern is 21" wide, there are 6 rows of tines and each tow has 6 tines for a total of 36. The spacing between the rows is only 3.5" making a tight pattern.
You can also see the chains are completely sealed on each side from dirt and debris making them last quite a long time. The chains are also self lubricating and pre-stretched making them virtually maintenance free.
The tines are also self cleaning by ejecting the full tines instead of building up mud and debris inside the tine. Even when aerating in muddy conditions, the tine ASM stays relatively clean while still pulling 3"+ plugs. You can see the tine ejection surface in the center of the tine, it is at a 45 degree angle and kicks out the debris that would normally collect. This is similar to what is used on a golf course deep tine aerator.

We have not updated our website because we haven't had time. Like everyone one else we expected slow production (sales) this year and planned on doing the web updates this spring. Well, it started show, but we have been putting in 6-7 day a week and 12+ hours a day trying to get units out the door since the weather broke this spring. We have 100% of the people in our office doing assembly work plus temps that we have hired. I can't complain about the orders but I would like to have time to see my family once in a while too. :dizzy:
We will be updating our website next month as well adding another line for more capacity for this fall as well.
We lauched 6 new products for this spring and none of them are on our website yet... Once production is caught up, we will update our new products on our website, but right now I just don't have the extra time to work one on one with our web designer.
To give you and idea of my schedule, I was in Pittsburg on Friday, Home on Sat, in the office getting caught up on paperwork on Sunday, and off to Long Island for open houses Mon & Tue, meetings in New Jersey on Wed, then off to Columbus, OH for meetings on Friday, then back home to watch my 4-yr old little girl dance at her recital on Saturday....then it starts all over again.
So how do I have time to responds to people on LawnSite....because it is very important to stay in contact with our customers. Our Rental stores are amazed when they call our office and get one of our engineers on the phone to talk them through any technical questions, or when they order parts at 4:00 in the afternoon and they show up the next day. I'm out on the road about 70% of my time visiting rental store, LCO, and Golf Courses.
These are the joys of owning your own business which I'm sure most of you realize...it doesn't change if your running a LCO or a manufacturing company.

Supers like the result, the guys that do the work won't use anything else once they demo one.
Our seeders where used at Valhalla to get ready for the Ryder Cup in 2008. They liked them so much they gave us an endorsement. They have been using our aerators as well and are impressed with both productivity and quality of the plugs.
I think what they are most impressed with is how well they do on hills.

Does a person have to buy a machine through a dealer or do you dell direct to the public?
I know I'm going to need to spend some $$ on equipment this year for a write-off, and I also know I need a new aerator. I have a couple HOA's that need done, as well as individual homes, and the old Ryan is LOW on my list of machines I like to run... Not to mention isn't about wore to a nub.
That's crazy that you guys are selling so much equipment this year! I bet the people that signed on for office work had no idea they would be doing assembly on equipment! I also can't imigine the life of a "salesman". Traveling all over hell and back to promote your products. There's a lot of people that make it their life, but you sure can't have a home life when you do. I don't envy that part of your business at all.
Like I said, i'm going to do some careful consideration in the next few months. I definately don't want to procrastinate too long though, would hate to order a new machine and not have it arrive until the season is over!

Lawn King,
Just curious, how do you like the aerator.
Is a very nice unit. Im just coming out of the learning curve on it. It pulls a quality plug and a lot of them! The hydro drive (reverse) in conjunction with independently rotating gang wheels, makes for easy turning. Its easy to service and really moves in high range. When i really like a machine i will run it for years, hell , i ran lesco 30's from 1985 to 2008! I see these LS walk behinds taking me the rest of the way! I just ordered the front weight for my machine, my plugging depth is fine, im looking to gain some additional traction for loading/transport.
