Back in Jan 2001 Kutnkru posted a note on a company that sells a product to darken up faded tanbark. A number of my customers have at least 3 inches on their beds because of the non stormy winter and to put more on top is a waste of money. I plan to cutlivate it at least.

Does this dye work? last? injure plants? cost how much?
Have you actually used it and what happens after a month or so?
Theres something about "painting tanbark" that sounds a little weird to me.
Thanks much

First off I assume you are talking about mulch. Never heard of tanbark. I guess kinda like Jim Lewis and barkdusting. Second I have used the Lesco mulch spray and it works pretty good. You can dilute or make it as strong as you want. It lasted about 3 or 4 months and then it started to fade back to the original color of the mulch. Close up it does look a little odd but from 15 feet or more it looks really nice. Sure beats spreading all that stuff. You do have to be careful around sidewalks as it will stain.
