Made this striper last year, had a few questions about it lately though so I figured I'd throw up a few pics I took today of it. Its 3 inch PVC with a threaded rod through it and filled with concrete. Works great but I've already posted the pics of its work in another thread some where. I hope to have some more soon.

Yeah I love it, works better than I expected. I had a few trial and error runs on it but got it to work great!

Dont the stripes look Weird because of the end caps and then the middle being a diff. height? Also thought they went past the width of the tires? Just wondering

Stripes look just fine with the height difference, it lays down the grass just the same and makes nice defined stripes. The reason for not going past the wheels is because the wheels lay the grass over anyways so no need to go the extra length.

Why waste the time with a striper on other mowers then? If one of my mowers stripes I want them all to stripe. Plus I use the 21" most times on my own lawn and I like it to be striped.

That's a cool idea! The rubber flap on the back of my mower tore off a long time ago. Might need to make one of these.

Mine hadn't broke off yet but when I mounted the striper I took it off anyways.

Hey I mow only with 21" mowers (my yards are not all that big.) and would really like to see some pictures of the strips you make with your kit. I would like to see if it would be worth my while to try some thing like that on my toro's. Thanks David

I have a striper similar to his on my 21", and when I mow at about 3", mostly fescue and rye grass, I leave foot steps in the grass and I only weigh around 150.

Why stripe with a 21" walk behind you ask? See my picture and you will get your answer.
This picture was taken back in 2008 when I still mowed with a 21" push mower. I have since purchased a ZTR, but thought I would post this picture.
Enjoy :)

im glad to see somebody takes the time not only to stripe with a push but to make shure the stripes are straight, thats tough to do with a push. lawn looks very nice.
