good or bad trimmer?

GREAT trimmer! I recommend thuis all the time to people who only run line heads. Gobs of power, and lighter than the 110.

If your thinking of running attachments, you will more than likely appreciate the extra power of the 110 or 130.

I have owned several 90's and never had a moments problem with any of them. The 90's is the one that my dealer pushes on the 4mix engines [he likes the 80's] because they have a larger exhaust and do not heat up as bad as the other 4mixes.

It is a 4mix. I'm pretty sure that the only 2stroke comm are the 80 and the 250

my neighbor has one of these. it is a 4 stroke engine, but instead of having oil to change ect... it runs off of 2-stroke gas. ive taken it for a test drive, plenty of torque, little heavy but more power then you need for normal trimming. i havent taken it into long, heavy weeds but imagine that it would do well in them to.

All Stihl products run 50:1.

same but not really the same, you better use ultra gas, or some call it premium.

They require 89 octane which is mid-grade, not premium.

Definitely get one. They are the VERY best trimmer for the money on the market. For $299, it cannot be beat by ANYTHING else out there. It's got HUGE power, high fuel efficiency, and is very quiet. Also has a solid shaft that will run attachments. It's not too heavy either.

It does have a 4-MIX engine, which means it's a 4-stroke engine that runs on 2-cycle gas. No oil fillups or oil changes. Just the same 50:1 mixed gas that you would normally use in your 2-cycle stuff. I would run only 89-octane or higher, and also use high-quality oil such as Amsoil Saber, Opti-2, or Stihl Ultra (which are formulated to give good protection to these 4-MIX engines). It's a highly reliable engine (just as good as any 2-cycle), and they are easier to start too, with much higher power than a comparable 2-cycle.

And I say this from experience, not just something I heard somewhere. Once you try one, you will never use a regular 2-stroke again. There is that much of a power difference.

I recently bought the FS90. I love it. I got it for $259.99 from a local Stihl dealer. I love the fact that it has the solid shaft and the great torque, and it takes the mix like everything else your running. I did a lot of looking around and I always came back to the 90.
