I want to submit a bid on a sodding job that is Aprox. 996 Sq. ft. The area to be sodded has to have the existing grass removed and graded.

There is a pretty nice post about this in the Landscape Construction forum. I can't remember the numbers, but a lot of people had good opinions on there. You should check it out.

We get .85 a SQ foot installed. So, 846.60 plus tax. We get sod for 19 cents a SQ foot. Id get 1100 sq feet, always get extra. So 209 for sod....So 637.60 before labor.

I too have a sod job that i am looking at. 40K sq. ft. Do you drop the price per sq. ft. for such large areas?

Same here, but not by much. It's prolly a little easier if it's large b/c usually you have straighter runs and less trimming; but bear in mind, the bigger it is, the more sod to hump. It's still hard work, and more of it.
