Shindaiwa M230 split boom string trimmer

Does anyone have an opinion/experience on the Shindaiwa M230 split boom string trimmer? It has the same specs as the T230. I'm wondering how it would perform using the edger attachment.

Just bought one the other day. I got the edger, pole pruner, and Art. hedge trimmer attachments. I used the pruner the other day plenty of power. I also trided the edger out, works great.

Is that thing fairly easy to split apart? I was thinking of getting one, cause it seems quite versatile, but when I thought about locking it in my TrimmerTraps, it seems like you could just split it in the middle real quick and slide both sides out and that's that. Doesn't seem very secure. Is that the case, or is it more difficult than that to split it apart?

It actually snaps into a clip that hold it together with a clamp. It is easy to change attatchments, but just won't pull apart. I also use the trimmer traps and don't see a problem.
