Aucuba japonica 'Gold Dust', most often a male plant with no berries. Bloom is insignificant, you grow it for the foliage and it's shade tolerance.

Ryan, why do you hate them? I found out this winter that they are apparently deer candy, but work well here in shade and grow very slowly.

Acuba.Likes the shade. It will take a good freeze. My dad had some at his retail center back in '83,one the hardest freezes on record for us,but they came thru fine. Heat is ok,just NO direct sunlight,at least not here on gulf coast .
