After long wait (we purchased our '06 CTL60 during winter), we got to use it for the first time yesterday and today. All I got to say is - nice :) We're getting ready to break ground on a custom house (we're the GC) and needed to clean up the lot a little (cut down couple trees last year, but didn't get a chance to clean up everything) The lot is WET as hell, water everywhere, mud up to the knees - no problem for our little engine that could!
Now here comes the bad part - I'm almost done installing the silt fence around the lot and I hear little pop/crack/whatever you want to call it - the track comes off in a foot of mud :cry::cry: Oh well, thanks to this site, I think I know how to fix it.

The track must have been too loose.

It did seem little loose, but unfortunately, I got too lazy to adjust it :(. Oh well... live and learn.

It has to be adjusted properly. If it is to loose it will run off on flat ground.
Usually what happens is the track will catch something that forces the track off like a small stump while your turning.
In hindsight you will have probably felt the machine bind up as the track was coming off.If you stop and reverse the direction it will run back on.'
This only happens when the track is to loose.
After you let the grease out and install the track you will have to pump it back up which will take alot of grease so always carry an extra tube.
Also after you pump it up you will need to go back and recheck it as it will usually have air in it and require it to be readjusted.
If you tighten the track up to much it will wear the drive sprockets.

AWJ - thanks for your comments! We were able to get the track back on in ~30-45 minutes, which was a pleasant surprise. I was shocked at how easy it is to adjust the tension (which we did for the other one) - couple pumps of the grease gun and it was done!

To adjust the tracks take the bucket and tilt the front off of the ground.
measure the distance from the drooping track and the center idle roller and it should be around .6 to 1.2 inches.
