Need plant suggestions

I need some suggestion on small trees that will grow well next to the road.

I'm in zone 6

Talk to the local officials.

Some municipalities have recommendations on trees to plant next to roads and public easements.

They might also have a list of trees they won't allow you to plant too.

Hackberry, Honeylocust, American hornbeam & Black locust.

What WG said, some trees may be prohibited or invasive.
