Just a few simple questions:

1. How often do you guys change the fuel filter.

2. What brand fuel filter are you guys using?

I hear you on a pain to change. I have not done it, but I was looking at it and I am not sure how I am going to tackle it. It is in the back of my mind to take it to the dealer and let them mess around with it. One dealer told me $109 to do it. I hate paying for something I know that I can do, but it does look like a pain.

I change mine in about 10 minutes, honestly. I use A/C or Napa/Wix usually. Drive it up here, I'll do it for half price!!

To add, there's a few ways to do it. 1, remove passenger side inner fenderwell. 2, pull fenderwall back and squeeze your arm up there. 3, remove passenger side battery. 4, and my way, go from the top and grab with all your might. It's a tight squeeze getting through the a/c lines, but they'll bend a little and no harm caused. I've owned 6 of these trucks........never a problem. Just be careful with the WIF sensor, careful not to strip it out with a Channellocks that is.

every 10k. not that hard. the first time i ruined the wif sensor as i didnt unplug it first. its easier on my truck cus it has a 6 inch lift so i can pull on the inner fender and squeeze my arm in there. still hate gettin covered in diesel though

I try and do it every other oil change. There is a post on dieselplace that shows you how to do it.

You pay by the hour not minute. Doesn't matter if it's 15 minutes or 59 minutes.

Oh yeah and 10-15k is usually whats recommended.
