Im sorry I did'nt take any pictures so I will try to describe the best I can. I have a client that called me last year for a few brown spots in his St. Augustine lawn. I tried to do a little reseach and he put a few things down. That was last October. He calls me yesterday to go back and look at it. It has pretty much taken over 90% of his lawn. He told me he has put about everything he can think of on it from grub X to Chinch bug stuff to 90% 7 dust. They are pretty distinct round circle patches. You can grab a handfull of it and the blades come up and are dead, but the roots seem to still be in place. Can someone help?

1) Treating before knowing the cause ..... :nono:
2) Brown patch is a possibility but without pics and closeups it is anyones guess.
