Hello,

I have a 225S on order, which will be my first two-cycle engine. I'm concerned about using the proper oil and the correct mix, as I can't source Tanaka brand oil locally, as readily as I can some others. I picked up some Craftsman today, but I'm wondering if it will work, as the max ratio specified on it is 40:1. Is that too rich of an oil mix for this engine? Will it present warranty issues?

Thanks in advance.

Answered my own question. I found an online user manual here on the forum. It specifies a 25:1 to 50:1 ratio.

We use 50:1 in all the 2 cycle engines
